Support and Volunteer

Freethought Day is an entirely non-profit endeavor, supported by the freethought community. Every donation supports this event 100% by helping us cover our speakers' costs, rent a venue, pay for advertising, and buy food for our volunteers.

Here are four ways you can help make Freethought Day a continued success:

  • Donate to Freethought Day: Those that wish to support Freethought Day will be recognized in the program and on the website. And you can show your support with a keepsake button, all for just $25.

  • Fundraising Reception: Attend this special evening event on Friday, October 11th which features live entertainment, a selection of great appetizers and desserts, wine, and the company nearly all of our speakers for just $75. Also includes Reserved Seating at Freethought Day and more!

  • Host a Table: If you're an author, business, freethought group, or any other community organization you can have your own table at Freethought Day. It's free for student groups, $25 for authors, $50 for non-profits, and $100 for businesses.

  • Sponsorship: Businesses and organizations looking for exposure can sponsor Freethought Day starting at just $250. Benefits include reception attendance, on-stage announcements, an exhibitor table, program advertisements, reception tickets, and more.

For questions regarding support and volunteering, please contact David Diskin at [masked] or go straight to our Support page.

Lobby Day

With the support of the Secular Coalition of California, October 11th (Friday) is Secular Lobby Day.

We'll gather at 8 AM to make a difference in our state and local government. Sign up for this special event and help us change the face of politics.

Lost & Found from Freethought Day on Oct. 12: We are still holding a GREEN SWEATER left at the park. Please contact me if it belongs to you or know who it belongs to, so that we can get it back to them.

Fantastic event!!! Great people, speakers, authors and entertainers. I have new books to read…which I've started on today because I'm too tired to move.

I loved the political strategies about Iowa, but I was too timid to take the mic to ask where corporate sponsorship might come from for our grassroots movement.

Fantastic!! Awesome speakers, awesome booths and awesome music! I got a chance to speak with Shelley Segal and she was sweet enough to dedicate my favorite song of hers to me! That's a memory to last a lifetime. I can't wait until next year!

The main event Saturday is FREE, and features an amazing array of talent to entertain you -- but we really, really need your support. How can you help?

First, by volunteering. Contact [masked] about that. Don't wait, email now.

Second, please sign up for the fundraiser reception Friday night. That part is not free. But we will feed you, wine you, fête you, and you'll get to schmooze with freethought luminaries, the speakers and entertainers. How to sign up? Go to this link:
