Potluck Game Night!

Who: Atheists and non-atheists all welcome. Feel free to bring a friend, roommate or honeypie, but please do not show up with seven people!

What: Chatting, eating, playing, laughing. Sound good? If you have special dietary needs, let us know on your RSVP or in the comments area. People can just as easily choose one dish as another and most people are happy to accommodate.

Where: Find Spanos Ct on the map of your choice. Come to the end of that cul-de-sac and park anywhere in the parking lot or on the street. It's RiverGlen Apartments by the River and it's the only complex down there. Don't drive through any gates! When you get there, give me a call on my cell and someone will come out and get you- it's gated to both pedestrians and cars.

When: 6pm-? Doors close at 6:30.

Call Laura- (916)[masked] when you arrive.

Hope to see you there!

PS. This is an 18 and over, humans only event- no kids, no pets. Sorry!

I am going caving all day Saturday, so I might be out of cell range until very close to the starting time of 6pm. Scott, my roomie, will be home and accepting attendees who get in through the gates and know the way. I shouldn't be late, but FYI, just in case. Oh, and I'm providing beer, wine and peanut butter fudge and Scott is providing a veggie/ dip platter and apple streudels (spelling?). Can't wait!

Hello, my wife and I are new to this but trying to figure out if we can make it, it looks like a lot of fun.

Quick question, have you ever played Cards Against Humanity? It is the best party game I have ever seen (I work in the gaming industry) though it is very much an adult game. If we can make it, I would love to bring it and see if people liked it. I have never seen someone not like it, but we all have different senses of humor. :)

Hi, thanks for your interest. We have played CAH (Cards Against..) many times and probably will again. Yes, it's a good game! And we actually own it, so no need to bring a copy unless you have a refill pack or something. Cheers!

    Hi All,
Would like to be a part of a fun group. What can I bring? Food, vino??

    January 15, 2014

    • Laura H.

Food, please. We often do BYOB, as people have their favorites, but food is always welcome. Thanks!

I haven't been to a SacFan event yet besides the new member introduction, would this be a good first event?

If you like board games and party games, it is a fun way to meet people.

I am not sure the best way to communicate that Linda and I will not attend after all. I am easily bored with games and prefer a different venue. Thanks anyway and a Happy New Year to all

Sorry you won't be there. If you wouldn't mind updating your RSVP, that would be helpful for folks on the waiting list. Thanks!

If anyone thinks of a game they have been wanting to play, please post it. I may own it. I have a lot of games.

Sweet! These game nights always look like so much fun. What kind of games are played usually?

    December 26, 2013

    • Melanie

We usually play party games like Balderdash, Quelf, or Telestrations, but we occasionally break into smaller groups and play something more cerebral.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
