Ask an Atheist at Galleria Mall

Shop around while you represent friendly atheists! Come walk the mall wearing one of these bright blue shirts. We don't approach people, we just walk around in pairs, smiling, and enjoying ourselves. It's all about being visible. We usually get more thumbs up than questions. But, sometimes we do get a real question - if you don't know an answer, say you don't know. Just be yourself. (We aren't the ones claiming to have special knowledge of anything!)

Don't have a shirt? Buy one from Judy when you show up, $10. Then it's yours to wear when getting groceries, washing your car or walking your dog at home!

It's so necessary to come out, which helps others feel more comfortable coming out as well! It's what needs to happen if we are to stop the push of religion into our laws and governments! Activism was never easier!

Had some genuine interest from the lady selling me an Orange Julius. She was making little jokes at first, but then saw we were really serious about taking questions, so she asked how we became atheist. A few folks came up with smiles to appreciate that we are out there wearing the word atheist. They get it. Nice to have the Turlock goddesses with us, and their guests. Good day.

Had a great time at the last one, hope to be able to make this one as well. Anyone going to the "My week in Atheism" premiere that night at Crest?
