Altho you've likely left for NZ already, I just found another Otego Peninsula attraction. It's a superb restaurant: the Central Otego Winery Restaurant & Cellar Door www.winehouse.co.nz. Enjoy your vacation.

Re New Zealand, here are some things to see around the Otago Peninsula: Moeraki boulders; Dunedin esp the Octagon, it historic RR station; rustic boat houses; royal albatross at Taiaora Head, and a colony of yellow-eyed penguins.
Enjoy your vacation. I think renting a camper is a terrific way to go.
