Price is an issue for us because my sister and I are out of work just now. But then my sister is awaiting a hip transplant and wouldn't really be able to walk around the city anyway. So I'll let you know. At the moment, the date seems OK for me.

We are in the early stages of planning a social outing (kind of like a church function...but NOT!) to the city and are contacting members to find out the interest level before we make firm plans. The basic information is below.
Date: November 9
Time: Pretty early for a Sunday -- leave around 9:00AM
Destination: San Francisco
What to Do: MOMA, GG Park, Japanese Tea Garden (still in discussion) Lunch
Transportation: Capitol Corridor AMTRACK to Emeryville with Bus Transfer to the City
Return Time: Around 7:00 Sunday Evening
Note: We will be hoofing it around town, so be prepared for some serious walking. RAIN OR SHINE
Cost of the train is $50.00/person round trip with a 20% discount for a group of 20. For those who feel this is a bit pricey, maybe we could set up a carpool to Emeryville and meet at the train station.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
