Why not visiting the new Cal Academy of Sciences, it just opened a few weeks ago... I could give a small tour - just a suggestion..
Cheers

I'll be out of town that weekend, but would be interested if it were a day I had open.

Also, If it's a smaller group, we could rent a van.

Subject: [atheists-637] SF Day Trip - November 9
Date: Thu, 23 Oct[masked]:56:22 -0400

Hello folks,

We are in the early stages of planning a social outing (kind of like a church function...but NOT!) to the city and are contacting members to find out the interest level before we make firm plans. The basic information is below.

Date: November 9
Time: Pretty early for a Sunday -- leave around 9:00AM
Destination: San Francisco
What to Do: MOMA, GG Park, Japanese Tea Garden (still in discussion) Lunch
Transportation: Capitol Corridor AMTRACK to Emeryville with Bus Transfer to the City
Return Time: Around 7:00 Sunday Evening
Note: We will be hoofing it around town, so be prepared for some serious walking. RAIN OR SHINE

Cost of the train is $50.00/person round trip with a 20% discount for a group of 20. For those who feel this is a bit pricey, maybe we could set up a carpool to Emeryville and meet at the train station.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Brenda
