What: Early Bird Swim at LAKE NATOMA NIMBUS FLAT!
When: Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, 12:15 p.m.

Taking advantage of the midday sun for the cool swim.
Starting point: The concrete viewing platform at the mouth of the inlet on the shore opposite the Aquatic Center.
Park at the park-and-ride lot outside the Nimbus Flat gate, or drive in to the small lot just off the main lot, near the propeller-shaped memorial to law enforcement officers who died in a helicopter crash. We'll meet at the circular concrete viewing platform on the lakeshore.
Directions: Take HWY 50, get off at Hazel exit, head north and then FIRST right, FREE PARKING, at park and ride and walk in about 1/4 mile. Or $10 to the iron ranger in the park; or invest in a Golden Poppy Pass, $90 gets you into lakes Natoma and Folsom unlimited times for the year.
Meet: Nimbus Flat State Park, at the second parking lot bathrooms. see map above!
Skill Level: Able to swim 1/2 mile
Needed: Bright colored swim cap, goggles, wetsuit (optional), Neoprene cap (optional).
We will try to use the buddy system and match people up of like speed and strength. No lifeguard will be on duty. This meetup is swim at your own risk. Please sign in and sign out on the clipboard.
