This group's goal is to create a safe place for adults with Attention Deficit/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity "Disorder" (ADD/ADHD) to meet and discuss/learn about the effects it has on our social interactions. This group is peer lead (run by the members) but professionals working with ADHD clients (coaches, LCSWs, MDs) could be invited to attend if members desire.
There are other groups which address the experience of parenting a child with ADD/ADHD, so this group will not specifically address those issues.
This group is open to adults of any age, single or not, who have suspected or diagnosed ADD/ADHD. A desire to gain insight into your social interactions and improve your comfort level in social situations is all that is required. Partners and spouses of adults with ADD/ADHD may also join us, subject to consent from the group.
If anyone is unsure about their status or diagnosis, or wishes to check out the group meetings without "signing up" then please e-mail the leadership team.
There are several questions when joining up - these are here to help the group understand who we are and what members want. If you are uncomfortable answering any of the questions, then please answer by stating that the question makes you uncomfortable.
See the link page for other AAD/ADHD resources.
