UC Davis Primate Protest & Presentation

Stand up for animals and join us for a brief, peaceful demo outside of the California National Primate Research Center followed by a presentation (at organizer's home in Davis) led by SAEN founder Michael Budkie - a leader in bringing the unethical treatment of laboratory animals into the spotlight. RSVP on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/243149959215735/?ref=22

Recently, a young monkey accidentally died with a bungee cord wrapped around his neck at the UC Davis Primate Research center. Negligent baby primate deaths, smoke torture chambers, brain mapping experiments, wasted tax dollars, illegal c-sections and baby separations... How long will we tolerate these cruel, wasteful, barbaric practices? It is up to us to stand up for these beautiful beings. This is your opportunity to help make history: With the recent closure of the primate research lab at Harvard, we remain certain that public and legal pressure on these institutions is what will ultimately help free these primates from the labs. We look forward to seeing you there. Thank you for standing up for what you believe in.

Wanted to remind folks about The Beagle Freedom Project which is a program/campaign of and on ARME, a non profit founded by Shannon Keith. We really appreciate her work! There are new up dates, articles on her web site. She is a strong and courageous woman helping fight the use of Beagles in animal research and rescuing them. We had a sweet Beagle mix when I was a little girl and I miss her to this day! How awful if someone had taken her and used her in a nasty, cold lab!! I can't bear to think of it!!

I found this quote on www.animalliberationfront.com. There are so many famous and well-educated (past) scientists/researchers/doctors who have commented on the cruelty and waste of vivisection and lab animals used for research. "During my medical education - I found vivisection horrible, barbarous and above all unnecessary."
-- Carl Jung, MD (1875 -1961), the founder of analytical psychology. His break with Freud is an important event in the history of psychoanalytic thought. Jung stressed the human psyche's quest for spiritual and archetypal meaning vs. Freud's emphasis on sex and aggression.

Lindsay, I just saw this comment after mine from "a former member". I got a message directed to me from Teri Forester saying the same thing. Weird! Anyway, you can use this quote on the Facebook page. No problem. See you soon!

Please get on The National Anti-Vivisection Society web site to find REPLACEMENTS for the products you currently use that ARE TESTED on animals. There are more companies that understand there is a market for people who WON'T buy animal tested products!

Lindsay, No I'm not, but I'm considering it. That's a good idea because many more people will see what they can do to make this needed change. Still too many animals suffering and, I think, most people don't realize what is going on!

Cupcakes and refreshments will be provided at the presentation afterwards - I hope you all can make it! Michael Budkie from SAEN will be sharing some inspiring (non-graphic) information with all of us. I will give out my home address at the protest, or you can call me 2035123014. Thank you!

My phone number is[masked] in case anyone has trouble finding the center on Saturday. It is at the intersection of County Road 98 at Hutchison Dr right outside of town in Davis. I hope you can join the (non graphic) presentation at my home in Davis right after the protest. Vegan cupcakes and refreshments will be provided! Let's do this!

I'm thinking you will give us your home address on Saturday, right, Lindsay? You probably don't want to post it here.

Yes, exactly. I will give everyone my address at the protest, or you can call me at that number. Thanks so much, looking forward to seeing you on Sat.

So important to keep the public aware of this cruelty!! Please read Sacred Cows and Golden Geese by C. Ray Greek and Jean Swingle Greek to learn more about this cruelty. What a waste of tax dollars!!!!
