Hi Reyna, thank you so much for responding and I am so sorry for the delay!! We received a report from someone regarding a rabbit breeder. Our complainant stated that a rabbit breeder called them (out of nowhere- our complainant had no idea who this person was or how he got their number) asking if they wanted to buy a rabbit. We weren't given the breeder's name, but we do have his address and phone number: [masked] 7143 Parish Way, Citrus Heights, CA 95621. Our complainant states that she went to look at this person's rabbits for sale. Unfortunately the complaint is vague with little detail, and we've been unable to reach the complainant for more information. The complaint simply stated that
this person kept about 70 rabbits and chickens in small, filthy cages in their yard. We're looking for someone who could go to this property, check out the conditions (status of food, water, cages, body condition, illness/injuries, etc) and get photos so that we can take a look ourselves. We're hoping it won't be too difficult to pose as a potential buyer in order to get invited onto the property, although taking photos would likely raise suspicion. One thing we suggest is to tell the person that you are looking for a rabbit for your kids/significant other/family/etc and pretend that you need to show them photos of the rabbits so they can help you pick out one. Or you could go with a partner and have one person distract the seller while the other person sneaks photos on a cell phone. Then if you could let me know what you found and send me any photos you were able to take, we'll proceed accordingly. What do you think- does this sound like something
you'd be up for doing? Thank you so much and please let me know if you have any questions or if there are any issues, and again, so sorry for the delay, we've been completely mired!
Thank you so much!!!

I just saw your message. I care a lot about animals. I have gone to the volunteer meeting at Sac'to SPCA but haven't had time yet this month to volunteer.
I would be happy to prevent cruelty whenever possible!
Yes, I live the borderline with Citrus Heights. I live near Madison & Manzanita. I do work full-time about 15 miles
from home. I could be at the location at 6 pm or 6:30 pm.
What exactly would I do? Would people know I was coming; I hope not. You can call me on my cell phone, which I have on today and will hear your call. Please do call me to explain the situation, okay?

You are listed in PETA's Activist Network as someone wishing to help animals in your area. We’re hoping to find a volunteer who could check on a possible animal neglect situation
in Citrus Heights. Please respond if you can help, and I will give you the rest of the details. Please do not forward this email.
Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you!
