Stop Monsanto today from sneaking section 735 in to a senate spending bill

Christian B.

Please call your senators today to stop Monsanto from slipping in more pro-gmo legislation. This website will give you their contact information. If passed, section 735 of the Senate Continuing Resolution spending bill would prevent judges from stopping further planting of untested GMO grops, while a lawsuit is underway.<!--more--> If anyone is familiar with the 10-20-30 rule, you'll understand why this is nuts. The rule states that it takes 10 years before enough people get sick to start organizing, another 10 before the issue is brought to court, and another 10 for the justice system to succeed and ban the substance. Any mildly educated person knows that whole GMO foods are universally harmful. Do we really want to let them keep planting their abominations in the ground for another 30 years? Of course not, so please take five minutes and all your senators.

If you live in the Sacramento area your representatives are:
Senator Dianne Feinstein: (202) 224-3841
Senator Barbara Boxer: (202) 224-3553

Don't think this is an animal rights issue? Animals both wild and domesticated are stuck eating the same food we are. Let's do our best to make that something worth eating.
