This is Executive Director, Martin Anaya with a special message. We are not taking any breaks this month as we have two very high profile events lined up for Sacramento and several more in the Bay area and LA for the new year. On the 20th we again partner with SAC FASHION WEEK for the most amazing Holiday Party ever! I will have more on that in the coming days. On Dec 5th, CFF with support of the Sacramento Film Festival and The Center for Investigative Reporting welcomes back the winner of SFF 2012, California State of Mind: The Legacy of Pat Brown and its director, Sascha Rice.

Come spend part of the day or the entire day and enjoy stimulating conversation, education and refreshments as we explore documentary film making and the state of California with high profile VIP guests and a festive atmosphere.
AGENDA: Stay for all or Part 9-11:30am: Documentary workshop: "My California" – Tell Your Own Family/Community Story
Led by Sascha Rice, with participation from local filmmakers and community members. 12-1:30pm: Luncheon, co-hosted by the Pat Brown Institute
Moderated discussion, opened by Raphe Sonenshein, Executive Director of the Pat Brown Institute

5:30-6:30pm: VIP reception
Hors’ doeuvres and drinks will be served

7-9pm: Screening and panel discussion: California State of Mind
NOTE: This film won the coveted BEST FILM award at The Sacramento International Film Festival 2012!

SYNOPSIS:
California State of Mind - In the turbulent 1960’s, an ordinary man rose to face extraordinary challenges. His granddaughter and award-winning Director, Sascha Rice, gives an inside look into political power and a family dynasty called by some “the West Coast Kennedys.” NOTE: There is NO CHARGE for this event though a donation is suggested.
