What current knowledge do you have about harvesting wild edibles?

I've looked at a book or two. Mostly I stay within the city limits for my occasional gathering. So dandelion, wild onion, miners lettuce, rose hips, walnuts, etc. I haven't gathered elderberry, though I want to.

Introduction

Hi. I gather some known fruits and greens, and would like to know more of the common California plants, whether or not they are edible. I grew up 60 years ago on a Kansas ranch.
