This hike showcases some of the most unusual flowers and wildlife on the west coast. You will be treated to a plethora of plant life that grows nowhere else on the west coast and it will be in full bloom. Plus you will see the majestic Tule Elk in all it's glory. This amazing mammal stops you in your tracks and makes your heart pound as it roams the sancutary with it's amazing grace. You've gotta see this area, this is a can't miss hike!
The Tamales Point Trail travels north from Pierce Point Ranch to Tamales Bluff; The bluff overlooks both Bodega Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The trail's rolling hills pass directly through a tule elk range. Last time we passed right next to them on the way in. In the afternoon we only saw them up on the hills.
