OK, the email I got indicated this trip was on the 19th, but when clicking the link in the email for more details and I get this page, it is the 12th. Which is correct?

Allen I think I did put the 19th down thinking the hard loch leven was the 12th. When I looked and noticed the hard loch leven was the 5th, i changed it but nobody at that time had signed up for it. You probably got the original notice and I had already changed it when you rsvp'd yes.

Hi Carol - I hiked into lower and middle lakes from Big Bend yesterday, Conditions may be less severe, but much of what follows is likely to still be true. Lots of snow on the ground. Trails completely obscured for much of hike. (Trail was on my GPS topo or we wouldn't have found the way.) Trails and vicinity flooded in flat areas, water running down trails often in steep areas. Both lakes still frozen over except in small areas. That said, THE HIKE WAS BEAUTIFUL, and we were fine in short sleeved shirts. Water resistant boots, gaiters and poles highly recommended. Enjoy - Larry P

Loch leven lakes has 2 trails. One is easy and one is not. Loch leven lakes rests in the mountains. The not so easy is we start at the bottom and hike up. The easy we drive on a dirt/gravel road and traverse along the mountains on an easy trail. Your choice. You get to the same lakes, different trails.
