Politics and Philosophy Discussion

For our next meeting the topic will be justice and the judiciary.  Are there problems with the judicial system?  How could it be fixed?  What judicial philosophy makes the most sense?  Original intent?  Literalism?  Is any form of judicial activism acceptable, if you agree with the outcome?  Should juries be given the power to nullify laws when rendering a decision?  I suspect many of you have strong feelings about these issues.
