A dialogarian? I believe in respectful, rational discourse about individual and communal wellbeing. To cloak myself in a particular ideology would be too suffocating and not very helpful, methinks.
Poverty: a world where many of our species still starve and struggle to make ends meet is a volatile world indeed. Related to this is population growth and the social and environmental issues that accompany it.
The foundations of morality, the private and political implications of determinism, the intersection between philosophy and cosmology, the nature of the self and consciousness, language as key to unraveling philosophical problems, the transformation of religion and the establishment of a community that fosters critical thinking, social activism, and self-development, and the infusion of passion, creativity, sincerity, and relevance into philosophical discourse.
Gnothi seauton - "know thyself." It is only by looking deep into the mirror and asking who we are (individually, biologically, socially) that we can make moral progress.
I am a cluster of conscious stardust, a reflective ape, a skeptical Romantic, an awe-inspired scientist, an autodidact, a writer, a poet, a teacher, a pilgrim, and a dreamer. Currently, I'm dreaming of applying to a PhD program in philosophy.
