Ideas branded as "liberal" often make more sense to me than ideas from other political ideologies. But I'm wary of fencing myself in. Let's apply critical thinking and empathy to each issue.
I can't decide between (national and global) income inequality and our treatment of the environment. Both have (and will have) tremendous repercussions.
Approaches to our own mortality; personal identity (the self); consciousness and its neural correlates; the source of value (metaethics); the metaphysics of time; epistemology and the philosophy of science.
Morality is the way that intelligent, valuating, social animals like ourselves negotiate between individual and communal needs. Our propensity to value particular things stems from our psychology and physiology, which in turn were shaped by our genes and our interactions with the environment (including culture).
I'm currently writing my Master's thesis on the self, so I'll introduce my self to you if I ever figure out what it is :P
