Day Hike (3C) Snow Valley Peak

  • Sep 10, 2013 · 7:00 AM

Tahoe Peaks series #12.  Snow Valley Peak is on the east shore of Lake Tahoe and offers some unusual views of the lake.  Most of this hike is on the Tahoe Rim Trail.  Hike stats: 12 miles (round trip), elevation gain 2000', starting elevation 7200’. The hike will be moderately paced over a sandy trail with significant elevation gain.  Hikers must be in very good to excellent condition.  Bring the essentials, including sturdy boots, water, snacks, lunch, layered clothing due to changeable weather conditions, and $$ for carpool drivers.  No minors.  No dogs.  Rain cancels.

We will meet in the Sacramento area and carpool to the trail head.  Leader will email meeting place info to RSVPs.

(Note: do not RSVP for this outing if you have disabled your Meetup email.)

We took a chance on the smoke, and got a beautiful day with just a tiny bit of haze. Temperature was nice with a pleasant breeze. Outstanding group of fun hikers. Great Day.

Looks like a great hike. I'm new to the Meet up website and looks like I'm to late to join this hike, maybe the next trip. Happy Trails!
