Tahoe Peaks series #12. Snow Valley Peak is on the east shore of Lake Tahoe and offers some unusual views of the lake. Most of this hike is on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Hike stats: 12 miles (round trip), elevation gain 2000', starting elevation 7200’. The hike will be moderately paced over a sandy trail with significant elevation gain. Hikers must be in very good to excellent condition. Bring the essentials, including sturdy boots, water, snacks, lunch, layered clothing due to changeable weather conditions, and $$ for carpool drivers. No minors. No dogs. Rain cancels.
We will meet in the Sacramento area and carpool to the trail head. Leader will email meeting place info to RSVPs.
