OUTING DATE CHANGED TO SATURDAY, 14 APRIL
On this very strenuous 6 total mile hike in the scenic Cache Creek Natural Area we’ll make our way along a very steep but scenic trail to the summit of a 2,631’ knoll on Blue Ridge from where we’ll have a spectacular view of the Sacramento Valley, Coast Range and Sierra. 2,500' elevation gain. You must be in excellent shape. The perfect hike for those looking for a great workout and buns of steel!
Bring lunch, water, hiking boots or sturdy walking shoes, hiking poles (recommended), jacket and money for $6 per car parking fee and optional carpooling and dinner. Rain cancels. No dogs.
Meet at 9 a.m. at the 11th & P Streets parking lot, downtown Sacramento. We'll be back in Sacramento before 5pm if you don't join us for dinner on the way home; you'll be back before 7pm if you do join us for dinner. Dinner is at Rico's Pizza in Woodland.
