CSG Garden Project's First Dig Day

CSG Garden Project's First Dig Day is Set for June 1

Hi Again, Green-Thumbed Grangers!

The CSG garden project is looking for your help. We have decided to build around 10 raised beds in the front lawn space of our office. Intermittently, we hope to plant flourishing California Natives alongside our organic edible plots.

The first dig day is scheduled for Saturday June 1st at 9am - we encourage you to come get your hands dirty and be part of this project! On this date, we hope to have the grass removed and the beds built and filled. The beds themselves will be 3’ x 6’ and made of cedar planks. We budget that each bed will cost around $10. Lunch will be provided.

If you can’t make the volunteer dig day and would like to support the garden another way, we are looking for the following items:

sod cutter
digging spade
digging fork
hand spade
hose
spray nozzle
shovel
organic seeds/plants
organic soil/compost
bricks/granite/wood chips
Cash donations would also be greatly appreciated as we would like to build on the garden in the future, adding things such as a drip irrigation system, benches or signs.

Please contact me if you would like to volunteer in any capacity.

Thank you!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
