Another meet-up at this super fab all vegetarian restaurant The menu is entirely vegetarian and all the vegan dishes, of which there are plenty, are clearly marked. Last time we all enjoyed the Gobi Manchurian which many mistook for meat balls but were in fact the most amazing cauliflower balls. The Dosai were also a sight to behold for their sheer size. There is sure to be a great find on the menu for any of you attending.

For those new to the group, we are a friendly bunch with a mix of vegans, vegetarians and those making the transition. We are just a great group of people wanting to get together to share a great meal, make some new friends or reconnect with old friends...and share a common interest - being a veg person.

As always this is a very family and kid friendly choice, LOL, if you can get your child to eat Indian food :)

    I want to thank Tanya for organizing this fun event. Also, special thanks to Sugar Plum for the cupcakes. This is the second event I've attended (the last was a party at someone's home) where Melissa supplied the cupcakes and they are divine! Thanks!

    I am super duper excited to let our attending guests know that Melissa of the Sugar Plum Vegan will be bringing us all some YUMMY vegan mini cupcakes to share. She was wise enough to check the Udapi website and realized they dont serve any vegan desserts so she offered to hook us all up with cupcakes. For those of you who arent familiar with Melissa or the Sugar Plum Vegan...OMG...what rock have you been living under? Check her out, she sells vegan goods at local coffee places and the Co-Op :)

    On behalf of the whole Vegan Meet-up organizing team I would like to say "oups, sorry"! I kinda goofed and scheduled this meetup on the same night as the Second Saturday Art Walk...I know this means a lot of people will have to choose one or the other. Next month the team will try harder not to have two such great events conflicting.

    my friends and I will be downtown at the art walk that night from about 6-pm. after wards we will probably be at the press club having fun and doing a bit of dancing to 80's music (no cover before 9:30pm and 5$ after, no dress code, very casual, I wear jeans and a t-shirt). so if any of you want to join us, (after you all are done eating), let me know. =) - JENN
