The current organizer has been approached regarding folks advertising their products and services on this website. Sometimes they are active members, and sometimes they appear to come to this site solely to advertise. Sometimes they post on the message board, or are more assertive and send members e-mails; members they don't actually know. I want to know if members want such advertising or not.

We have the opportunity to wine taste and purchase wines at the December 1st meetup. If you will be attending this meetup, please answer "yes" or "no" to this poll question. Thank you!

For example, Habitat for Humanity has a Sacramento branch. They have a couple of Saturday volunteer opportunities. The website I looked at doesn't have specific location information until the Thursday beforehand. It's a one-time 6 hour committment. There are volunteer opportunities at the Sac SPCA and County Shelter, but they require orientation, which we could attend together. We could incorprate a dinner and/or other activity after volunteering.
