"Turlock: the Documentary" — newly extended, w/special speakers

Even if you attended the Sacramento Vegetarian Society showing of "Turlock" on November 12, you'll want to see this extended version of the film on the big screen at the historic Guild Theater.

"Turlock" follows the inspiring efforts of Animal Place rescuers as they negotiate the release of 4,460 hens from a battery-cage egg farm, where the farmer had abandoned 50,000 hens without food for more than two weeks.

Q&A following the film w/filmmaker Keegan Kuhn of First Spark Media and Animal Place Executive Director Kim Sturla.

$10/a fundraising event for Animal Place Farmed Animal Sanctuary.

Sponsored by: Animal Place

Reservations: Turlock ticket reservations

I've seen the previous version of this. It's not overly gruesome, but compassionately tells the story of these hens, many of whom died nameless. It's a must-see.
