Third Annual Vegan Fall Fest & Picnic

Mark your calendars: A fun-filled time for the entire family!  We will have activities, demos, crafts, games, speakers, music, vendor and information booths, community organizations present.  There will be face painting, coloring, story time, and kids games, too!  

Invite your family, friends, and neighbors.  

*Please leave animal companions at home for this event!  Thank you!  

What to bring:  please be sure to wear tennies, and bring folding/ lawn chairs, blankets, umbrellas, pop-up shade structures, and outdoor games/ activities such as frisbees, whiffle balls, kick balls, croquet sets, horseshoes, etc.  Sunscreen, head coverings/ hats, and towels recommended.  Weather is predicted to be hot!!!  **There will also be a "Kids Stuff Swap Box": bring items you no longer use, including books, clothes, toys, equipment, etc.

...Please wear clothes you can get wet in!  (See below).  There will be water games for the kiddos, too, so be sure they are dressed appropriately! 

Please bring your favorite vegan picnic fare to share:  sides & salads (such as baked beans, potato salad etc.), corn-on-the-cob, chips 'n dips, veggie trays, fruit, watermelon, desserts such as cookies, cupcakes, brownies, etc. (i.e. no eggs, no dairy or butter, no cheese, no meat/ fish/ poultry at all as ingredients.  If using condiments in a dish, please be sure all ingredients are vegan!!!)

*Every adult please bring enough of your dish/ item to share with 6-8 people. *Everyone who contributes a dish will receive a token for a Veggie Burger (including children of contributing families).  

(And/or you may bring your own picnic for your family.)  

PRESENTATIONS & Demos:  Vegan Fitness & Bodybuilding, Intro to Raw Foods, 10-minute Vegan Meals,  Nacheez demo, Raw Foods demo, Animal Advocacy, the YEA Camp Experience, Vegan Family Forum

DUNK TANK 'CHALLENGE':  Fundraiser for sponsoring kids to go to Youth Empowered Action Camp (vegan + advocacy/ activism 'boot camp!') 

Make a starting 'bid' /donation in any amount (*at least $5) to nominate someone to 'get dunked!'  Other people may add to the 'bid.' Nominees may either accept the challenge, or, make a donation to 'match' the cumulative bids to decline getting dunked.  

Everyone who donates 'bids' toward a designated dunkee who accepts the challenge to get dunked will have an opportunity to attempt to dunk the nominee. Additional throw tickets will be available for purchase, so everyone can join in the fun!  

*Please be sure to bring along enough funds to participate in this, especially if you wish to nominate or bid on dunkees!!!  

*Who will YOU nominate to get wet???  

All proceeds will go toward the YEA sponsorship fundraiser.
