Why are you interested in SVS?

Besides the above, your activities look interesting, e.g., sanctuary trip on 2/18. I am interested in at least the ecological, health, and animal compassion aspects of eating more vegetables, even for omnivores.

What can SVS do for you?

Be a resource for accurate info, socializing, support, activism.

Tell us about yourself.

Besides the above, I am a grandmother; volunteer for kindergarten, charity, and church (including homeless program, where I introduced more vegetables). For the gerontology aspect, I am also interested in eldercare.

Are you vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, or transitioning?

As above, transitioning.

Introduction

I'm a gerontology/human services/nutrition student at ARC and starting a Veg-Fit Club there. I am also a member of Sacramento Vegan Meetup & would like broader info, especially for the club. I have been transitioning to vegan for about a year.

What LaurieJones is saying about this Meetup Group

This was our first experience with the Sac Vegetarian Society. I am a member of the Sac Vegan Society and didn't realize that the Sac Vegetarian Society is also vegan (?). So now we have more opportunities in a month to eat and socialize vegan.
