Demo Sessions:
OSVR will be showing their new open-source HMD.
We will also have multiple Oculus Rift DK2s, GearVRs, Google Cardboards with killer games, and a ton of cool local tech available for everyone to try out. There will also be various games and applications available for everyone to experience.
If you have something you would like to demo or have something you'd like to show off, by all means bring it! If anyone has a Rift they'd be willing to bring to demonstrate for those who've never experienced it, we would all be very appreciative if you would set it up at one of these Meetups and share it with the community.
Finally, for any Sacramento area locals that are interested in Virtual Reality and has something they would like to contribute or talk about for future Meetups please let us know and we can get you presentation time and exposure.
My main reason for going was fulfilled: I wanted to try the Oculus Rift for the first time.
But I won't give the event a five star because I'm pretty casual when it comes to gaming and the talks were all directed to an audience that was pretty deep into the creation of games/virtual worlds

I'm bringing a few friends with me, will they need to RSVP on Meetups as well in order to join us tonight?

If anyone is going my way ... I need a lift back to Sac. (near Madison and Manzanita). Can pay $10 for gas/your trouble.

I won't be able to make it until 6:30 or so, is this something I need a hacker lab membership for? I've wanted to check it out but haven't had the chance.

Thanks for doing this one in Rocklin. Can't wait to see all the cool new demos!

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
