WordCamp Reno-Tahoe

We're still organizing the final logistics for our March 19 meetup - coming in the next day or so! - but in the meantime, be sure to check out WordCamp Reno-Tahoe coming at the end of April:

http://2013.reno.wordcamp.org

WordCamps are a great, super inexpensive way to spend an entire day learning about WordPress and networking. I'm (Jake) personally looking forward to the event, where I'll also be speaking.

If anyone from the Sacramento area needs a ride or has any questions, leave a comment.

Great event! 4 out of 5 stars because the Speakers were limited to 30 minute presentations. Many could have easilly presented more information and were rushed to get through their presentation materials.

So far? It's been awesome! The presenters are well-informed and provided the information in a way that a novice like myself could walk away feeling a like this is doable. The Wordpress community is super supportive. I will be changing my stars to 5 if I walk out of here today with my blog site. I'm super excited to get started.

If you're looking for another speaker, please consider my availability, I have been a guest speaker at Silicon Valley College Dept. and then returned by popular demand 6 times. As President of the California Press Photographers Assn. I have been in the photographic field for the past 33 years. I know what photographic content is, how to procure it, how to manipulate it, how to own it, how to visualize the downstream connecting images to conquer the web maze of visual correctness, or at least understand options to achieve the stunning look. I have been in media broadcast dissemination for so long I can answer any questions regarding media, formats, cameras, platforms for dissemination, social media questions, etc.

Not only will the Reno-Tahoe WordCamp be appropriate for non-programmers and beginners, we are still looking for more speakers for our business/marketing/user track. Take a look at http://2013.reno.wordcamp.org/become-a-speaker/ or send me a message with questions. Jake: looking forward to your presentation in Reno!
