Hypnosis for Health, Healing and Pain Control

Hypnosis is a wonderful tool to help boost health, promote healing and control pain. In this meetup we'll cover

- what hypnosis is

- the role of the hypnotic induction - slow, rapid and instant

- the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy

- benefits for health

- how it's used to promote healing

- different approaches using hypnosis to control pain

- uses of self hypnosis

I'll demonstrate each of these with volunteers.

There will be plenty of time for Q&A and, as always, everyone is invited to experience hypnosis for themselves in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

Remember to RSVP and see you at the Meetup!

Contact David Kenward - The Mental Coach - your Organizer and Certified Hypnotherapist - with any questions.

reply dripped contempt as he asked how I thought it might help her. Now get this, we are 150 hours into a 200 hour certificate for Hypnotherapy and he has no clue? I suggested to him that he could at least reduce her stress since that’s what usually starts the symptoms and then started suggesting that helping symptoms might be nice for her as well... his demeanor was so closed I could have been talking to a wall. After a few more minutes he looked straight at me, told me the conversation was pointless and walked away. He couldn’t even hear that this might be used to help his wife? Wow talk about a closed minded professional... Now. I don’t know what his thoughts were on the subject, I can only see his actions when talking about it and to me this exact mentality might just be prevalent in most Doctors and that would explain why it is not used in cases where it could clearly benefit a patient.
    Have a Fantastic day!

So... the next class I went up to him and asked him if I brought in articles on the topic if he would at least read them. He started by saying he would look it up online and started to walk away - interrupting him I said I had actually brought in a number of articles for his wife showing how Lupus can be helped with relaxation and symptom management and since I already had them, would he read them. He was at least open minded enough to say he would look at them (or jsut said that to brush me off?). I have no idea if he did read them. We only had one more class together and I did not go out of my way to engage him in any discussion afterwards. My hope is that if he loves his wife he in fact did look into it... I felt very sorry for his thinking/training (and his wife). I am an avid believer that the power of the mind is almost limitless and intend to help as many people as I can!

Interesting story – wish it had happened before the last meetup.
There was a question raised during the last meetup - if Hypnosis was so good why where Medical people not required to learn it. Comments were made that there are courses offered, some do go outside the medical community to take classes but even still – then why if they are taking courses, is it not more often used by the Medical People?
Well, the other day I was in my Hypnotherapy class and started up a conversation with a Doctor who is also taking the course (for helping patients with pain management) I wanted to find out what his thoughts were on the above questions however before I was able to get that far, we were just chatting about spouses and such and it came out that his wife had Lupus. I asked if he was using the ‘stuff’ he has learned in class to help her. His

The Meetup was Fantastic! The Demos were amazing!

How Hypnosis helps our health with mental and physical issues as well as the ability to control pain is amazing. I guess you could say a Happy mind helps to have a Healthy body. I loved the ideas and concepts that were brought up while discussing the validity of even the concept of Hypnosis as a tool.

Last night was a great meetup. Lively is putting it mildly - and that's a good thing! Great discussions, diverging opinions and two great volunteers for hypnosis demonstrations. Big thanks to those who RSVP'd *and* showed up!

David and other members provided great examples of health and healing with hypnosis. It's always good to hear concerns and responses of others regarding this wonderful practice.

I enjoyed this meeting. I like the way that the experienced people dealt with the questions that were asked by those few skeptics, and those who were simply looking for answers. Dave did an excellent demonstration with a volunteer using a positive anchor for her to use any time she feels less than happy, just one of the phenomenon a person can experience with the ethical use of hypnosis.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
