The Pagan Jubilee

Join us for a full day of educational, musical and spiritual fulfillment and enlightenment, sponsored by the Sacred Bridges chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans! Our guest speaker this year is Deborah Lipp, author of "The Study of Witchcraft: A Guidebook to Advanced Wicca" and a High Priestess of the Gardnerian Wicca Tradition. We will have food, workshops, musical entertainment and a Litha/Summer Solstice ritual led by our CUUPs chapter members. Our special music guest will be Celia Farran, who will be performing a concert at the conclusion of our event in the auditorium of First Unitarian Church. Tickets for the concert will be on sale for $15 each throughout the day, but the Pagan Jubilee is FREE. There will be activities for all age groups, so bring the whole family and celebrate our Pagan culture and heritage!

Hi everyone! I just want to remind you that the Jubilee is in ONE WEEK, next Saturday at the First Unitarian Church. We will get started at 10 am with drumming in our outdoor ritual space, and we will have lunch available from 11:30 to 1 pm, with a la cart snacks and drinks all day hosted by Chef Jenn. We have a belly dance troupe coming to entertain during the lunch hour, and then our special guest speaker Deborah Lipp will begin her session at 1 pm in Channing Hall (the large meeting area). We will have information booths from the Des Moines New Age Shop, the School of Metaphysics, and demonstrations on Henna Art, Tarot Reading and Crystal Ball reading. Our workshops will start at 3 pm and go until 6pm, and we will have child care available for parents during the workshop times. Then, after the Pagan Jubilee concludes at 6 pm, there will be a concert in the Auditorium presented by the Progressive Voices Concert Series at First Unitarian. Tickets for the show are only $15 each!
