“ A wonderful sacred community that I am proud to be a part of. ”

“ Sitting at the fire is about experiencing the sacred; connecting with something much larger than ourselves. The East TN Hamlet is connected to a global network of people bringing a sense of the sacred back into our world. We are learning to grow and open to the Great Mystery in which we all participate. Each month we sit around the fire in all our diversity and humanness, with friends old and new, and share what is important in our lives. Each community fire has a different flavor that is created by the world around us, nature, and the people who participate that evening. At the potluck we share delicious food, great conversation, and when it's time to gather around the fire, we give gratitude in the form of offerings to the fire from an intact tradition. The offerings help create a safe and sacred ritual space for meeting and sharing, for opening our hearts to one another that may take the form of jokes, story telling, drumming, singing, dancing, quiet reflection. ”
