FLORENCE SFC COMMUNITY FIRES
POTLUCK: 6 PM FIRE: 7 PM
Come join us around the fire. There is a feeling of warmth and connection that we experience in the simple act of sitting with each other around our consecrated fire. The stresses of the week fade away, and we remember the magic of life, the importance of friends and community, why it is we yearn to join each other in this way around the fire. Every fire is different. Some are small and intimate, others larger and more boisterous. There's sometimes drumming and singing, sometimes jokes, and always the opportunity to share and speak about what's most important to us in our lives. This is a safe place where you can be heard. All are welcome, no matter your background, belief, tradition or non-tradition! Come share whatever needs to be spoken, and a willingness to listen from the heart. Come with your concerns, your stories, your gifts, your laughter as we connect with old friends and meet new ones, and begin to deepen into that sense of community that is so essential to support us through life.
- Something delicious to share for the potluck
- A story, poem, song, music or joke to share around the fire
- $1 - $5 per person for the community fund
- A folding camp-style chair
- Any friends who might be interested in joining us - children are welcome, but please leave pets behind.
- Perhaps some dark chocolate to share at the fire
The Offerings: We open the fire gathering with gratitude in the form of offerings from an intact tradition. They help us create a safe and sacred ritual space for meeting and sharing, for opening our hearts to one another. These offerings are optional for anyone who attends. They are a personal way to honor the evening's experience, to deepen our connection to one another and give thanks for the heart energy of Fire.
I hope to see you! Please email to let me know you are coming, and for directions. Warmly, Annie King, Cardinal Circle, Florence, SC [masked]
