Summer Solstice Drum Circle (Rhode Island)

We hold drumming circles to honor the season four times a year on the Solstice and Equinox. The focus of our circles is on healing for individuals, the community, and the earth. We are the longest running drumming circle in the San Francisco Bay Area having started in 1998. Currently, our circles are held in Berkeley, CA and Rhode Island.

The format for the circle includes opening circle, calling power, drumming circle meditation (or journey), healing circle and closing circle. Please note that this is not a jam or free form drumming (except for the calling of power). We follow an ancient practice of altering consciousness using a repetitive beat, no counter beats, harmonies or melodies.

You do not have to be experienced in drumming or shamanism to attend. If you have a shamanic journey practice, you will be able to journey during the drumming circle, though experience with the shamanic journey is not required. If you are interested in learning more about the shamanic journey, click here: Shamanic Journey.

If you have a drum or rattle, please bring it. Some drums and rattles will be available to borrow. For drum circle times and locations, please click on the register links below. (RI) indicates Rhode Island. All others are held in Berkeley at the Sacred Stream Center. For more info, please contact[masked].

Unexpected visitors coming into town. I won't be able to attend after all. I was very much looking forward to it, too! :(

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
