Anyone for a night of bawdy bar room ballards?

Luke Wright is performing at the Kings Arms as part of the Words in Walden series. He was a big hit at the Edinburgh fringe so it should be a good night and will liven up the middle of the week. Cost is £6 on the door.

What a fabulous way to spend a Tuesday evening. Hannah Walker and Jess - the barmaid/poet/Montessori teacher (!) were both brilliant, Jess' poem about 24 hours in Saffron Walden was enchanting and Hannah's poems had great humour and poignancy.
Luke Wright, the star performer was amazingly clever - how does anyone remember all those poems? His tales recalling his childhood in an Essex village during the filming of Lovejoy were brilliant as was his portrayal of the customer from hell in his local off-licence! Luke is one to watch out for in the future.

This was a real treat. Luke wright was uproariously funny. His poetry reflecting on the zany aspects of everyday life and people were clever, thoughtful and performed brilliantly. We laughed so much. Supporting poets were also very good.
