Thanks for the welcome, Amos! :)
Amos, Thank you for the warm welcome. Looking forward to future meetups.
Thanks Amos. This Monday is iffy, but I'm going to try to get involved here.
Thanks Amos,. Hope to attend some of the STL meet ups in the future.
Thanks for the welcome! Sorry for the delay in replying. Looking forward to the next meetup!
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to reply. but it'll do.
I'm really excited to find people around with similar interests!
As far as getting students, I'm sure I could encourage a few people to join up. I know that the school, for whatever reason, is python/Django oriented. I have talked to people that would be interested in Ruby/RoR.
I've been programming for something like 2-3 years and have been doing RoR and ruby for about a year.
Monday, Tuesday and some Thursdays are good
Hi! Thanks for the welcome! I'm looking forward to the meetup. :)
Senior developer role ideally will have experience with both Ruby on Rails and AngularJS. If someone has experience with similar frameworks to Rails, like Catalyst or Django, or other Ruby frameworks, like Padrino or Sinatra, then that would be worth considering. Also, KnockoutJs or Batman would be comparable JS frameworks to consider.
Experience with git or other DVCS is a plus as is experience with tools like Jenkins or capistrano.
Hi Amos. Thanks! Farmplicity is a virtual farmers market that helps chefs easily find and order local food from area farmers. Our goal is to expand the local food movement and make buying local food as easy as buying a book on Amazon. I don't know much about Ruby at all. But Farmplicity is built on it, and I'm trying to learn more about it.
