Annual Cruisin' the Dam Car Show

Car show, entertainment, and cap the night off by joining in a parade over the Carlyle Lake dam (normally closed to vehicles).

NOTE: You can arrive later! 4 pm is just start time in Bartelso, I'll just likely go directly to Carlyle at 4 pm or so, instead of joining in the parade from Bartelso.

Carlyle location:  2 Resort Drive, Carlyle, IL  62231      MAP

Event starts around 4 pm at Carl's Four Wheel Drive & Performance Center in Bartelso, IL, and between 5 and 6 pm cars are led in a parade to Mariner's Village in Carlyle, IL, where the evening show takes place. The dam cruise takes place just after 9 pm.

I am calling Carl to see what power options we have there, I can likely get a bunch of 120V and perhaps a 50A or two. We would reserve parking spaces for Teslas because of the power needs, so I'd need to know how many would come. You can park anywhere, of course, if you have the range and aren't worried. :)

No admission fee. Entertainment is typically tribute country singers - Johnny Cash is always there. Typical state fair type food (with a restaurant across the lot, although it's always EXTREMELY busy that night).

I usually bring my '64 Mustang and '65 GTO, but this year I think the Mustang stays at home (or I'll find a volunteer to help me get all the cars there).

    Where's the dam power?
(More Vegas Vacation jokes coming, I'm sure.)

Sure... I should have 50 amps while there for you too.

Craig, Brian says he'll volunteer to drive up one of your other cars. If needed can we charge up at your place to get back?

I checked with Carl this morning and he says they usually have an abundance of power. I can block off some spaces for Model S cars if I know in advance and if you plan to get there sometime in the early evening.
