Jan and David's
Our new members Jan and David have invited the St. Louis Tesla Enthusiasts to come join them for their neighborhood Halloween party.
The party happens on the green space (triangular island) in front of our house located at 6360 San Bonita, Clayton, MO. It officially starts at 5PM, but it doesn't get rolling until 5:30PM or 6PM. The "party" is over for the children when Trick or Treating begins when the police whistle sounds, (usually near dusk). Sometimes adults who do not want to pass out candy, hang out around the fire pit and chat. This party is very low key and very unstructured. There are hot dogs, beer, soda and water. Neighbors from the Hi-Pointe / De Mun Park Historic District mingle and chat. The kids run around on the island and it can get pretty crowded.
Last year we easily went through over 300 hot dogs... and each year it grows a little bit.
In the past a former neighbor has parked his Model A next to the island for "atmosphere" and at the very least it would be cool to have him return and have some Tesla's parked along with it.
Of course, feel free to make friends and show off the cars. If Tesla folks want to take someone for a test ride, please let them know to be very careful to pass very, very slowly through the streets of San Bonita and Alamo because those streets will be choked with trick or treaters and maybe a mounted park ranger and who knows what else. Of course the Tesla folks have good sense, so please accept my suggestions as just pre-party nerves.
