In the past few years I've put on a number of extra pounds while dealing with a health issue that was finally corrected with surgery.
Now that I am on the road to recovery (Perhaps I'm being literal...) I'm ready to start physical training with one of my favorite activities: Walking.
After a long search, I found a near ideal route for early evening exercise walks during the week. Starting at The Northeast Exchange Coffee Pot Park at 1st Street North and 30th Avenue North, there is a wide, well lit walking path that heads South to the downtown area. The North Shore park is a 1.5 miles south of Coffee Pot Park.
With the Tampa Bay waterfront on the east side and charming mansions on west side, it's the best walking I have seen around here. And I am not alone. It is a popular path for joggers, walkers and people walking their pets.

All skills levels are welcome.You could think of it as a support group on the move. I started this group because I need the motivation for regular exercise. I'm certain there others looking for the same.
