Salem Art Fair, Beer/wine garden

The Salem Art Associations annual fundraiser, accepts the top 200 artists and craftspeople from across the U.S. and Canada. The art fair is ranked #20 out of 1,400 festivals nation wide. the fair attracts over 50,000 visitors from all over the nation to Bush Pasture Park. We use almost the entire park!

Over the course of three days, the art fair features:

  • Two entertainment stages
  • Two craft beer and wine gardens
  • Two food courts

The entrance fee is $5 but there is no charge for the on going music at the stages. The headliners music is located in the beer garden. If you have never been to the art fair allow at least 2 hours to walk around the exhibits. The beer garden has food and the stage is at the bottom of the hill. Bring blankets for the hillside as beer garden seating seem to be always full. Dancing is encouraged and it's a grass area, so wear appropriate shoes.

Music starts at 1:30 and changes hourly. The headliner is from 7:30 to 9:00. Friday nights headliner is Rosie Ledet from Louisiana. She plays ZYDECO!

I am a fair coordinator and will be working, so not able to join the group until almost 7:00.

I think I totally missed the Meetup group, it was not obvious to me which group it was! Plus, it was abbreviated with the kid. Sorry, maybe next time!

For first timers you should know that parking can be hard to find. There is an alternative - free "HUT" shuttle buses will be running between the parks front gate and the Marion or Pringle parking structures between 10AM and 10PM.

I will be there early and put down a blanket and a couple of red "Meetup" signs. I'll try for the side of the hill below the beer booth. If some of you can put blankets there also we will be able to save a large area. feel freew to use my blanket. I will be working at the fair so a little late.

Can children come for the concert? I may have to tag along my 3 year old. He loves live music.

Laura, the beer/wine/music/garden and food court are all one big area. The whole area is fenced but kids "are" allowed. The fence is to keep alcohol in. Alcohol is not allowed in the park except by permit for events.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
