For those of you that have an iPhone, there is a free MeetUp app that allows you to easily see all your events and change RSVP status right from your phone in less than 5 seconds.

Cheers,

Vince

The email went to the whole group. In the future I’ll be denoting events that are strict with attendance.  Thanks for your understanding.  Look forward to seeing you at a meetup soon!

I had not signed up for this weekends events so I do not know if I received this message in error. I thank the organizers for making these meet-ups happen. New to Meet-up.com I see that people sign up for events a lot and don't show. Life does get in the way at times and we all understand that, but try to change your RSVP even if it is at the last minute-just common courtesy

One of the fun things about Meetup is that it's really easy to be a member of a group and sign up for events; it all feels casual and convenient. But on the other side of that is a small group of Organizers who spend time and money making it happen (thanks Organizers, you rock!).

When we have a large group of people going to an event we have to notify the business so they can be prepared for us. When we do not show up it is not only embarrassing for those who do go, but can also be a hardship for the business. Sometimes they bring in extra help just for us. This email is to let you know that when you sign up we expect you to show up, or at least officially drop out as early as possible. We want to keep our good reputation in the business community. The organizers are volunteers and we put in a lot of time finding and organizing events for you. To not give us the courtesy of at least canceling is disrespectful.
