Wildlife author and scientist Ron Hirschi will share photographs of the prevalence of plastic in the ocean and discuss his work to reduce the introduction of plastics. Hirschi will showcase images from the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument encompassing 140,000 square miles of ocean and ten islands and atolls of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. It was proclaimed a Marine National Monument in 2006.


Let's meet at the Coffee House Cafe for a bit of socializing / getting to know one another, then trek the 6 blocks to the library.
