How Much is this Worth? Researching Values / Beginning Listing with Mobil

I am excited to announce the March second Monday Meetup.... We have the privilege to learn from an expert about the unusual, rare, heirloom and hard to value  treasures. Terry Magnum of Capitol Auction and Estates Services has agreed to play a game with us. Here is an opportunity to  get a value on those items that have been in the family that you have no clue what they are or if they have any value. We,  the leadership team will take all submissions of unusual items for Terry to research and reveal at the March Meetup. All submissions will be considered so dig in those closets, pull out those rare items and dust them off. But, only (3-4)  three or four will be selected. Take a couple good pictures and email them to [masked] with what you know about the providence of the item. An extra prize $20 Starbucks Gift card will be given to anyone that stumps the expert. We would like to have these items if possible at the March meeting, so hopefully they are not as large as a house. All submissions are due by March 1st 2014.

Meetup Second Monday of March

March 10, 2014

Meeting will be at the Capitol Auction House, at 5:30 to 7:00 PM on the first Monday of the month. Coffee will be provided... if you like bring a snack to share that would be swell. There is NO charge for the meetup and optional $1 raffle ticket will assured you come away with something interesting. (donations to the raffle are encouraged... bring that useful business item (i.e. tape, labels etc.) or a fun white elephant)

We are a Oregon ebay, Etsy, Amazon and others sellers group, located in the beautiful state of Oregon and are open to all who sell or have an interest in selling online. Get away from the computer and enjoy meeting monthly with other Sellers. Have fun and improve your personal economic future by learning how to help you grow your business from great speakers and your fellow members. We network, problem solve, find new tools and solutions to selling in the eCommerce format. Whether you sell on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Ruby Lane, Craigslist or your own website this group welcomes you.

Great meeting! Helpful information on researching and finding out the value of your items that you would like to sell. Terry owner of Capitol Auction & Estate Services did a great job on setting the scene for Antique Roadshow. Looking forward to more information next month.

Many of you have asked about bringing an item that you are not sure of the value, bring it. I am not sure we will get around to address question about everything, but the unique item will add to the conversation. Terry is a qualified appraiser on many things.

I have had a Basic Store on eBay since 2007 and have been growing increasingly frustrated with their policies, especially the 5-star rating system. I also have been selling on Etsy since 2009. Unfortunately eBay accounts for about 80% of my sales and Etsy only 20%. I would shut down my eBay store in a minute if I could afford to. I haven't always felt this way about eBay but things have gone downhill this past year. I guess I'm just venting a bit. Do others find eBay frustrating too?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
