We hope to meet you at an event very soon!!! To help you understand how our group works we’ve outlined a little about our group.
We are a group with a variety of lifestyles & backgrounds with one thing in common...we're all looking to meet new folks in the area and enjoy a little down time and some laughter is always good too! We enjoy being an interactive group and plan as many events as the group wants to do! Everyone has the capability to suggest and/or organize events that they would like to see happen!
It is a requirement of this group that you post a current picture of yourself. This allows members to recognize you at public events and to feel comfortable with you coming to their homes. Failure to do so will prevent membership approval.
This group was started with the idea of meeting and making Friends!! You may also find love while you are here, but you will certainly meet alot of new and wonderful friends!!
This site is set up in a way to encourage each member to initiate and participate in events!! I will post the events that YOU say you want to see happen!! So go to the idea page....post your event idea.....other members will chime in with their thoughts.....and if there is interest, I will post it to the calendar!! So theoretically, if you don't participate there could be nothing on the calendar!! LOL That has never happened...but my point is, this is your chance to do things YOU like to do....and do it with friends!!!
Because of the way members are allowed to post up their ideas, the calendar fills as we go through the month. Please check the IDEAS section regularly !!
Membership & Dues
Our dues are $10 for a calendar year (January to December). Dues are due January 1 st..
This fee covers the cost of maintaining our site..any remaining funds will be used to sponsor a Meet n Greet event or other expenses related to meetups.
New members...we welcome you to attend 2 events before paying dues but after that please be sure to pay the dues to our group treasurer. This position is currently held by Mary Sue.
Members that are currently active members in the group will need to pay their membership dues by April 1st or will be unable to attend events until that is taken care of. After May 1 st deactivation will be automatic for non payment of membership dues.
New members that sign up but do not pay dues or attend events within 3 months will be deactivated. We are choosing to define inactivity as someone who does not attend an event within the 3 month time frame. You are welcome to return at a later time if you choose to begin participating in events and pay the yearly dues.
Fee should be paid to our treasurer....Mary Sue. We will post an address in our "about" section so that you may mail your $10.00 payment to her directly.
If you are a current member please make your payment January 1st. If you have a problem with the date, please let us know...
Event hosts will check with Mary Sue to see who still needs to submit their once a year fee.
RSVPs to Events
Please RSVP ‘yes’ when attending events – there’s no need to send in a ‘no’ RSVP for events you aren’t going to attend. We use the ‘no’ as a way to notify the host when someone that was signed up changes because they will not be attending.
We understand things happen, but if you can’t make it to an event you RSVP’d for… it’s important to change it to ‘no’ as early as possible. This is especially important for game nights that require a set number of players, but also an important courtesy for all events.
A ‘no show’ for an event that requires a specific number of players (i.e. Bunco or Rummicube) has a penalty of not being allowed to attend the following month’s event. Repeated ‘no show’ to events that you have signed up for may result in removal from the group. This would include canceling the day before said event unless its truly something you HAVE to take care. Friends don't do that to friends. This is a friendship group ! Ours hosts work hard to provide a fun event and it is necessary to know how many people are coming.
Not a Dating Site
This is our disclaimer – we are not a dating site. We are a mix of singles and married members that gather to enjoy a variety of social activities. Sometimes our members may find a love relationship through the group – but it’s not our primary purpose.
