I usually read fantasy or sci-fi, but I'm an English major so I also read some of the 'classics.' I also enjoy some history, and I read books on autism for research purposes. Terry Pratchett is my favorite escape, and I just finished reading the first four books of the Song of Ice and Fire (aka Game of Thrones) by George R.R. Martin (I'm not overly impressed by his writing). Some other favorites authors of mine are Anne McCaffrey, David Eddison, Piers Anthony, Mercedes Lackey, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, Robert Asprin, and Robert Jordan.
I read every day.
I'm looking forward to reading some new books, and being introduced to authors and people that I may have not otherwise met.
Yes, as long as the meetings are on Sunday evening, I should be able to make it every month.
I have lived in Salem for about 10 years, and it's been about one year since I quit my job to stay at home full time to homeschool my kids. They both have special needs, so I don't get to spend much time with other grown-ups.
