OUR FOCUS: Helping you to EXPAND, and try something new or different.  Expand your mind and experiences.  Rochester has so much to offer that is undiscovered that is inexpensive or free.  We are recruiting adults who wish to maximize their off-time.  We want to help you develop support, while socializing and having fun. 

Please note that we try to stay away from bar/band scene and go in more for cultural or higher quality activities that are not real expensive, or loud and crowded.   

What is a "Salon"?

A salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine taste and increase their knowledge of the participants through conversation and culture. These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, "either to please or to educate".  Salons were carried on until quite recently, in European urban settings among like-minded people.


WHAT WE DO - Variety IS the spice of life and it doesn't have to break the bank!

Through this meetup you will be able to meet fabulous new people at our unique events. We want to experience all things Rochester that are a bit different: films, pub crawls, coffee klatches, networking events, concerts, festivals, outdoor field trips, open mics, shopping excursions, comedy shows, sports events and other entertaining activities! We cater to music lovers who enjoy all kinds of music venues, as well.  We are especially looking for classcal music lovers for RPO events.

Most of our events are low cost or just plain FREE! We scour the events in the Rochester scene to bring you the most variety and the least expensive venues in these Recessionista times. That way we get to experience the adventure of something new and different, and it's kind to our wallets.

SO!! Check join us and check our calendar -- Join us for some theater or a sports event or just hang outside at the beach, listen to some music and RELAX, it's all FREE!!!

Also, if you would like to do something special -- join and become an event host.

NOTE!! BE ADVISED: Due to the increasing size of our group, and therefore, duplicate names, it becomes necessary to ask you to post some type of group photo, if you don't want to post a face picture, simply post a symbolic photo that expresses who you are. Also note that an annual membership donation has become necessary to evenly spread out the costs of running the group among members and pay for group expenses.

This means we are no longer accepting members who don't complete the group profile questions, as well.
