Provo Nights - Lower, Cement steps

Hi Fly Fishers!

The hatches have been happening almost nightly starting with PMDs around 5pm and later caddis.  Last week as an experiment I tied both a PMD and a caddis on, so a double dry rig and both flies performed equally well. The bigger fish will take the caddis.   :-)

Tubing clearly creates issues prior to 7:30 and it is best to work the banks until they are off the water.

If you arrive late and I am not at my car, I will be in the water[masked] yards upstream from the parking area.

tight lines,

Tough night! Crazy how many tubers there were on a cool night after school has started. Fish count was low. Hatch was very light and there were few takes on the PMD. Zero caddis activity. Great seeing Jeremy and Nanda out!

    Hey Mark,

I have never been to that area, can you provide some basic directions, the map link in the event description doesn't work. Thanks!

Hi Jeremy, Take I15 south to Provo. Exit at W 800 N (highway 52) and head east to Provo canyon. There is only one tunnel about 7 miles up the canyon. After you pass the through the tunnel, Sundance is on your left and as you round the curve, there is a pull-out on your right. Park there. If you find cement steps leading down to the water, you have found the right spot!

Great thanks Mark. Hope to make it tomorrow, but I'll be there a little later
