Bert discovers the salt in an ordinary salt shaker gives him the power to see his life through the eyes of his deceased wife. This magical realist story is first in a collection exploring memory and loss in an effort to show that which connects all people, the power of love.

I have some good news that affects our plans slightly: Siddha and I got an apartment in Millcreek! We move Saturday after the book club shindig, so if you would like to come early (any time before 11am), that would be great, but I will basically have to shoo people out by 12:30, as the movers are coming between 1-1:30pm. I think to encourage people to come earlier, I will make a quiche or egg bake instead of sloppy joes :)

See you soon! BTW, Alyshia, I found a cute little piggy bank to use, so yours can stay safely at home.

Oh--also, call me if you are wanting to do the ghost tour Friday night (402)[masked]

Please meet at 18 West (Approx) South Temple, We are just West of Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City on the North (Temple Side) of the Street. Look for our Grimm Ghost Sign or Black Grimm Ghost Tours Bus. The Bus will typically be there around 10-15 mins before the tour. Please arrive at least 10 mins early to be guaranteed a seat.

Parking is free after 6pm at the meters along the streets. Another option is to use the free downtown public transit system "TRAX" and exit at the Temple Square Station.

I just finished this book (sneaky reading at work) and I wish I could come to the discussion! "Even without the salt, the omelette tastes good" is such a beautiful conclusion. This was an great short story.

I'm not sure where else to mention this but Jenny mentioned doing a ghost tour of SLC at some point together and I just received an email from Amazon local deals concerning just that. Here's the link to the deal, if anyone is interested in doing this together. http://local.amazon.com/salt-lake-city/B00G70ZQN8

I'll bring "green stuff" - a cool whip based dessert thing - unless anyone's deathly allergic to nuts?

I thought there would be somewhere we could get it cheap, it's pretty short. The Kindle edition is free too, I just checked amazon.
