Hello ladies....this is a utube site for crocheting ruffle scarves for those who want to start now http://youtu.be/e0RI04BU6p4
and this is the site for knitting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blgXb8e52oU
The best red heart sashay yarn prices are at JoAnn's or Wal MArt; Michael's has been out of yarn. Hobby Lobby has another brand but it is pricey. I have made about 18 scarves (crochet) and it takes about an hour to do one and 1 skein of yarn. The directions say make 10-15 loops. I like 13 or 15 so it is shorter but I am not tall. I pull the loops together after pulling them through and do not skip a loop like the directions say. The neat thing is these are mistake proof and artist creativity prevails. Happy ruffle scarf days!! Now to work on my bandage more!!

For those waiting to ruffle. ...I'm bringing extra knitting needles, a crochet pattern to do the ruffle scarf, ruffled materials and other skeins of yarn to next meeting for anyone to take. ..in other words... freebies first come first served as I have no use for any of it. ...

Ok gosh darn it. I broke down and bought a skein of the ruffle yarn stuff because I couldn't wait to start making a scarf! But I assure you I'm still working on my bandages!

great seeing everyone and newcomers again (even though it's my 2nd meeting). I will be bringing yarn, knitting needles and that ruffled stuff you make scarves out of at next meeting for anyone to take (first come first served?). Just trying to clean up a stash of leftover yarn or yarn that i'm no longer interested in... and my knitting comes out like a strangled cat got at it so am finally giving up hopes of that. See you in March!

PS: i went to an Alamo Crocheting Guild meeting after ours..and plugged our group and what we're doing. Some of them took down the information so hopefully we'll attract even more members!
