Leon valley Fifteenth Annual 4th of July Parade & Celebration
Lets kick off the Fourth of July with a doggie Parade. The line up starts at 9:00a.m., you will need to park at either the Raymond Rimkis Park parking lot (on Poss Rd.) or in and around the Leon Valley Community and Conference Centers at 6427 Evers Rd., where Parade ends, before the streets are closed off. So please bring your dog's their own water and poop bags as needed at the parade lined up site of the Car-Vel Skate Center, 6807 Bandera and Poss (behind the Dairy Queen).
Please note the parade is only .5 miles (approximately a 1/2 hr. walk) and over quite quickly.

Dress for the occasion or not it's up to you. A simple patriotic bandana for your pooch will suffice.

*Please bring only well behaved dogs for this event.* As we will be in fairly close quarters during this event, it must be put out that if we see your dog is human or dog aggressive, we will have to ask you to remove the dog from the group for the parade; but you can join us after the parade. Thanks for understanding.

If you ordered a shirt this would be a great time to meet up with me & pick it up.

If you have any questions you can call me at [masked]. Hope to see some of you there!

Cathedral Rock Park is only 3 miles from there, let's go hiking after the parade! We'll also be there for the "early walk" (I need to wear them dogs out!)

Hey~ quick question. It says not to bring aggressive dogs, mine are not but we certaintly do get excited when we first see other dogs. Does anyone want to meet a little early, say 8:30 to go on a calm down walk? They are fine after that.

    •  It was so awsome! Gazira got fingures pointed at her because of her wagon, and it was an awsome way to wear out the dogs!
    •  Was hot but well worth the time!

The girls and I had a blast. It was so great to see people's faces light up when the dogs walked by. Wish they would have started a little closer to 9am, but it still was not too hot when we started around 10. Loved everyone's patriotic flare and Jazeera pulling the wagon was too cool. Great little parade we will definitely attend in the future.
