I am up for live music and/or dancing and/or happy hour most of the time and lately I've been watching more old movies at the Alamo than new ones. I've been known to swing on the swings at the playground down the street and have been looking to see if there is a suitable tetherball set up there as well. I compile mix cds for friends. I also am a stargazer and take in meteor showers when I can, basically love the sky - sunsets, the moon, whatever. I guess I am what some call a woolgatherer.
I broke my hand coming down the stairs on a double decker bus first thing on a solo trip to Ireland, the bus I took from the airport to my hotel, resulting in a 14 hour ER stay in Dublin, along with the local population including a methadone addict named Angus, who kept asking me for money for soup in between tantrums where he would shout loudly for the nurse disturbing all around, and a bunch of really nice people actually, who gave me tourist tips and signed my map of Dublin. Oh yeah, they signed it because it was my birthday. I spent my 40th birthday in an ER in north Dublin. I'm not sure why, but I have this really great attitude about it, like my trip wouldn't have been the same without it.
I'm obsessed with finding the best breakfast taco in the city, but I'm pretty adventurous with everything else. I like ethnic, and lately I've started liking healthy food more and more.
Fritz Lang's Metropolis, Groundhog Day, anything with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, Amelie, anything by Wes Anderson but especially Moonrise Kingdom and The Royal Tennenbaums, I put Legend and Time Bandits on my wishlist a few years back and received them, but I'm not sure now if perhaps it was something that was perfect for the time but not so much so now, my guilty pleasure is Overboard with Goldie Hawn, loved The Perks of Being a Wallflower, both the book and the movie, anything cult-y...
I still go running after the ice cream man when I hear the music playing.
