Oh no! Not surgery HeLP!!

I need help and am not sure what to do. My little Hemi is 7 and has been in pain since mid dec. he has been to the emergency vet and vet many times! He had an X-ray and is is determined that he has calcifications in his spine causing pain. Poor Hemi is on steroids, pain med and a muscle relaxer. I thought he was getting better but is back in pain! I took him to the specialist and the surgery was recommended and is about 3 to 4 thousand dollars. He has been on bed rest and still has movement of all legs. What do I do? I feel so sad for my boy! Will he get better? Could someone refer me to a less expensive vet that can perform the surgery!! I hear so many stories of how they can need many surgeries. Help please .....

What about acupuncture? They tell you anything about that? I've heard good things about it.

I rehabilitate the back injured dogs for Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas. I can help you. Get my phone # from Caty and give me a call. My name is Holly.

Also, check out they are the authority on all the info you need to help a back injured dog. Surgery is not always necessary, there are other options.
